Assessment of BTEC qualifications in 2021/2022 - a transition year
Last Updated: 18 March 2022
As we approach the results day for the BTEC Externally Assessed units taken in January (25th March), I would like to say thank you to all BTEC teachers and centres who have supported their learners with such dedication over the past two years. I hope they feel proud of their hard work and are looking forward to moving on to the next exciting stage in their career or further study.
Ofqual has named 2022 a ‘transition year’ as we return to external assessments, and has confirmed awarding organisations of vocational qualifications should ensure that learners are not disadvantaged or advantaged compared with their GCSE and A level peers.
You can read more about our approach to awarding BTECs in 2022 here. I would urge you to reach out to the team with any questions you have. We are here to help. We wish you and your learners the best over the coming months.
