If you think there has been a mistake with your calculated result, you should contact your school/college as soon as possible. They will be able to check whether there was an administrative error in any of the data they submitted to us.
If there was an error, they will be able to make an appeal application, with your consent, to have the error corrected.
If your school/college hasn't made an error, they will be able to support you to understand why your result was correct, or, they can submit an appeal with your consent, if it looks like we may have made an error in calculating your result.
We will review the appeal to check that the process was applied correctly, and the result provided for you was correct. If we find that we have not applied our process correctly, we will rectify our error and recalculate your result (which could go up or down). We will let your school/college know what we have done and the outcome of the appeal, including any amendment to your result. They will be able to share the information with you and support you to progress through the appeals process, as required.
Further information on how to appeal is on our website; detailing the basis on which an appeal can be made; how long we will take to process an appeal at each stage and any associated costs.
In considering whether you wish to appeal, it will be important to remember that appeals will address situations where the process used to calculate results has not been applied properly, consistently or fairly. We won't be able to accept appeals on the basis that you disagree with your teacher/tutor’s professional judgement about your centre assessment grade(s) and/or place in the rank order.
